Join the 2010 Swingin' Richards
The Swingin' Richards Golf League plays a 9-hole competition every Wednesday at 4:00pm. We rotate play amongst Old Mill, Wingpointe, Mick Riley, Forest Dale and Mountain Dell.
Our members range in age from 21 to 63, and in ability from scratch to hacker. If you love golf, camaraderie, competition, a friendly wager and a good laugh you've got what it takes to be a Swingin' Richard. If you are offended by the sight of a cigar or a beer we are not the right group for you.
Our season begins late March and runs through mid October. View schedule here. Annual dues are $20. You pay your own green fees. There is a $5 tournament entry fee each week and prize money is paid for Low Gross, Low Net, Long Drive and Two closest to's. In addition to cash prizes for weekly play, points are awarded in a season long competition for Stiff Richard, Long Richard, the Dick Cup and the coveted Big Richard. There are no cash prizes for these awards, just bragging rights and really swell trophies.
You do not have to be a Regular Richard to play golf with the Richards. If you can't make the regular weekly play events you are still welcome to join the Richards whenever you can. We call people that occassionally play "Little Richards." There is no membership fee to be a Little Richard, however you will not be eligible for the trophies. To be a Little Richard simply email your request to info@muni-man.com. You will be placed on the Regular email list and then when you can play you simply reply to the email.
Once per month we play an alternate format game such as Chicago, Best Ball, Blind Draw, etc. (these are now designated on the schedule as TBD Rico).
Handicaps are established by the league based solely on league play. You will play your first two events scratch and we will adjust from there.

STIFF RICHARD - Most closest to points
LONG RICHARD - Most long drive points
BIG RICHARD - Total points; attendance, closest to, long drive, and low score.
The Dick Cup
The Dick Cup is awarded to the consistently best player relative to net score for the season. Points are awarded each week 1st through 10th place in inverse order; 1st 10 points, 2nd 9 points, 3rd 8 points, etc.
